About the Art Nouveau Letter O design
Art Nouveau lettering stretches this O upward and pushes its weight into the sides, leaving the top and bottom of each ring thin. One version squeezes the opening into a narrow slot, and another tapers toward its base into an upside-down egg. The boldest face breaks the loop at upper left, where a notch outside and a small curl hooking into the counter mark the start of the stroke. The two widest versions open into airy ovals drawn with a much lighter line.
