About the Art Nouveau Letter I design
Two versions pinch the stroke in at the waist and flare it toward both ends, and one of those bends slightly and slants its top and bottom edges as if pulled by a brush. Two others hang crossbars off the stem, one with sharp curved brackets and one with rounded capsule ends. The last drops the bars entirely and widens steadily from a narrow top into a broad foot, shaped more wedge than column.
