About the Art Nouveau Letter H design
Crossbars wander up and down this H. The heaviest face hoists its bar well above center and flares both stems into wide feet, leaving a tall round-topped slot of white below. A brushy version bends its stems like soft ribbon and pokes the bar past the left stem in a small pointed flag. Elsewhere, pill-shaped serifs cap stiff uprights, and a plain face drops its bar low while its stems lean together like the legs of a stepladder.
