About the Franc Sign design
A tall upright carries three horizontal bars, each shorter than the one above it, and the stem runs past the lowest of them to end square at the bottom. Only the bottom bar crosses to the left of the stem, sticking out a short stub there while the other two start flush at the upright. Every corner is a right angle, and the stroke never changes thickness anywhere in the drawing.
