About the Art Deco Letter X design
Some of these X shapes lean on contrast, setting a broad black slab running down to the right against a much lighter crossing stroke, and one face slices a narrow white slot along that slab's edge. Another hollows the same diagonal into a pair of parallel lines. Elsewhere the strokes even out: two slender rods cross in a tall narrow X, and one face caps plain matched bars with wide curved plates that bow like the ends of a spool.
