About the Art Deco Letter D design
Half of these letters treat the upright of the D as a solid black slab and let the bowl swing out from it as a slimmer curved band. One face slices a narrow white slit down that slab, and another splits the stem into two thin parallel rails whose ends hook outward like curled ribbon. Elsewhere the letter shrinks to a narrow hairline outline, swells its bowl heavier than its stem, or squares off into a thick even frame shaped like a rounded box.
