About the Art Deco Letter N design
The diagonal does the heavy lifting in this N, swelling into a broad slab while the uprights often thin to wire. In one face the stroke is a solid wedge between two hairline stems, and in two others the letter fills out into a near-solid block, one pierced only by a narrow slanted slit. Elsewhere, bowed serifs with rounded ends swing off the stems, and one version splits its left stem into a hollow double line like a ladder rail.
