About the Open Book design

Two page openings sit either side of a solid steel spine, each one tall and narrow with its inner edge raked in toward the center. The top and bottom edges of both pages sag in the same shallow curve, and where those curves meet at the bottom the steel drops to a sharp downward point, like the tip of a pen nib. The outer edges run dead straight and vertical, the only unbent lines in the whole outline.
