About the Twisted Cord Ring design

Short wavy slits run around this band in an unbroken chain, each one curling into a shallow S that leans the same way as its neighbor. The steel left between the slits becomes the strands of a rope, so the eye reads a twist where the drawing only has cuts. Every slit ends in a rounded tip, and a solid black rim hems the chain on both edges. The band is slim against its diameter, leaving the middle almost entirely empty.
