Celtic Fine Fret Ring Metal Sign

About the Fine Fret Ring design

Short curved arcs make up both edges of this band, and each arc is simply the outer or inner arm of one squared spiral, with a small break before the next unit begins. Every spiral coils inward in the same direction, so the chain seems to turn around the circle like a slow wheel. The squares bend slightly to follow the curve, turning into narrow wedges. Inside, a wide empty disk takes up most of the sign, leaving the fretwork as a slim border.
