About the Three Way Node design
A solid disc caps a stem that drops straight down, then breaks into two diagonals running off to the lower corners at matching angles. Each diagonal lands on a square block heavy enough to swallow the arm feeding it, and both blocks sit cut off flat at the bottom edge. Together the two diagonals draw the pitch of a gabled roof, and the disc rides above the peak like a finial on a ridge.
