About the Plus Cross design

Steel here is a plus set inside a plus, the opening at the center repeating the outer shape at a smaller size. The outer arms are broader than they are long, four short blunt blocks off a wide middle, while the arms of the opening stand taller than they are wide. That difference tilts the inner shape toward a leaner cross while the steel around it stays squat. Nothing curves, and every one of the twenty-four corners turns square.
