About the Paper Clip design

Two nested loops stand upright, one inside the other, each turning over at the top and rounding away at the bottom. The inner loop's bottom turn is tight and narrow and stops well short of the outer sweep, so the two curves nest instead of tracking each other. The long parallel sides are the only straight lines here. Both free ends finish on the right at exactly the same height, cut square and blunt against all those curves.
