About the Loop Link design

A ring in the upper left and another in the lower right are tied together by a band that never takes the short route. It leaves the top ring tangent to its lower edge, swings down to a blunt rounded turn, climbs the full diagonal, then doubles back at a matching turn to meet the bottom ring. Those two bends reach farther out than the circles do, the way the folded end of a paperclip does.
