About the Double Note design

Both noteheads are full circles rather than the tilted ovals of written music, and each one carries its stem up from the far right of its curve, flush with the outer edge. The beam across the top runs as a wide slanted bar, climbing to the right and lifting the second stem well above the first. One opening sits between the stems, deeper on the right where the beam has climbed, and the top of the right circle scoops a curve out of its floor.
