About the Chess Knight design

One ear spikes up above the brow while the muzzle runs down and to the left on a long diagonal, ending in a nose blunt enough to look padded. Under the chin the mane folds back on itself in a flat zigzag, the way a paper strip creases, and that fold gives the head its only interior line. The neck drops straight into a square base with hard corners, so a curved animal stands on a block.
