Skeleton Key Stepped Oval Metal Sign

About the Stepped Oval design

An upright oval ring, clearly taller than it is wide, holds the left end of this key in a heavy band. Three fine grooves score the shaft, one right where it leaves the bow and a close pair farther along that set off a short collar. From there the stem runs long and flat to a square tip. Just short of that tip hangs a bit split by a small square notch into two teeth, and the outer tooth is both wider and deeper than the inner one.
