About the Meander Square design

Five square outlines of equal size make up this drawing, one in each quarter and a fifth straddling the crossing of the two center bars. That middle square clips the inner corner of each neighbor, leaving a tiny white square at every overlap. Out at the four corners, paired bars run in from the frame and cross the big squares, forming a little grid like a tic-tac-toe board. Everything mirrors top to bottom and side to side.
