About the Arrow Heart design

A thick band of steel outlines the heart and leaves its middle open, so the thin shaft of the arrow can be followed all the way across as it slopes down from upper left to lower right. At the tail, three slanted feathers stack like chevrons on a sergeant's sleeve. The narrow barbed point pokes out just past the lower right curve, while the feathered end trails farther behind, so the arrow looks caught partway through its flight.
