About the Cross Carved Pumpkin design
No face appears on this pumpkin. Its whole front is given over to one broad cross, each arm pinched thin at the center and flaring out to a wide flat end. The cross fills most of the body and leaves only a thick black rim around it. Above, a straight stick of a stem leans slightly to the right, and the top edge of the pumpkin bulges into small soft lumps on either side of it.
